PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project was all about creating a new feature for JTV Auctions called Group Buy. Group Buy took on a community approach for “unlocking” a price for an item. When a minimum amount of users committed to buying an item at the shown price, the item would “release” and those who commited would automatically pay for the item and have it shipped to them. Any users who saw the item about the threshold was reached would be able to buy that item outright for the Group Buy price.
PROBLEM / CHALLENGES
This project had some small difficulties like figuring out how we wanted to word the progress bar goal. We settled on “unlock” after some deliberation between other words. Usually, I am redesigning a feature that already exists. However, this was me designing a new feature to fit inside a webpage that was already designed. This was the first time I had a project like this and it was difficult to figure what I could move or change.
